Gardone Riviera is an Italian town of 2 631 inhabitants in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. It has a territorial area with an altimetry that varies from 65 m a.s.l. to 1,100 m a.s.l.
It is one of the main tourist resorts of Lake Garda, characterized by its typical "Central European".
Famous in the area is the Vittoriale degli Italiani, home of Gabriele D'Annunzio, which has now become a foundation open to the public with about 210,000 annual visitors.
Compared to the capital is in a northeastern position at a distance of 40 kilometers. It is situated on the Brescia, and therefore western, shores of Lake Garda. It is part of the Alto Garda Bresciano Regional Park.
